Made for bedtime and family Bible time
Short and simple
One story, short pages, words a 5-year-old can follow. Read it in one sitting.
Inspired by the Bible
Each story is a gentle retelling for children, based on a Bible passage like Luke 15 for the Prodigal Son.
Gentle with hard parts
Danger and mistakes are told calmly, so the story ends in hope, not fear.
Ends with a conversation
Our blog has simple questions for each story, so it doesn't stop when the book closes.

Small stories, made with care
KindTales is a small independent shop that makes short, illustrated Bible stories for children ages 5 to 8, written to be read aloud in one sitting.
Each story is a gentle retelling inspired by a Bible passage. The illustrations are created with the help of AI tools, then checked page by page before anything goes into the shop.
KindTales opened in 2026 with the Prodigal Son and Queen Esther, and more stories are on the way. Have a question, or a Bible story you'd like to see next? Send us a message on Etsy.
Teaching a class?
The coloring pages and storybooks work well with a small group. Our files are licensed for personal and family use, so before using them with a class or congregation, send us a message on Etsy and we'll tell you what we can offer.
